Instructions for Applying for a Job Opening

Please follow the instructions below in applying for a job posted on this site. They have been prepared with input from recruiters, and adherence to these instructions will maximize your success in getting a job offer.

  1. First, read each opening carefully and apply only if you have all of the required qualifications. Employers typically receive numerous applications for each opening, and they do not like wasting time going through the resumes of people who do not have the skills they need.
  2. If you are responding to an opening via e-mail, please make sure to attach your resume, make sure your contact information is correct, and include your major and grade point average (GPA) on your resume.
  3. If you need sponsorship to work in the US, make sure you tell the prospective employer in your application. If the job opening states you must be eligible to work in the US, do not apply if you need sponsorship.
  4. If your resume does not contain much work experience, you can include major school project summaries explaining work you have done that pertains to the job you are applying for.
